Tutoring talented young adults and children to play the piano

I have extensive experience teaching young people to play the piano. The lessons are comprehensive as well as fun and lively. You can be sure that your child will get a thorough understanding of notes and rhythm as well as a good technical grounding. Many of my pupils take their piano playing seriously and take exams, participate in Music Festivals and some go on to a career in Music.

I use a wide range of repertoire and methods to inspire young people and keep them motivated. This will help them develop a love of music. Music is for life if the foundation is laid right and I aim to tailor the lessons to suit the requirements of each individual student. My experience allows me to identify an individual's need at every stage of development and this allows talent to be cultivated at the right pace.

Training for examinations and events

 While I understand that not everyone wants to or is suited to enter examinations, competitions and music festivals, I support those who do and offer training for these events. My pupils are sure to benefit from the first-hand knowledge of a teacher who has been a professional performer, an ABRSM examiner and festival adjudicator for many years.
